Made in Albuquerque: our small-batch process

A look inside our local facility, where cosmetic chemists handcraft every formula in small, careful batches.

Every product we make is handled inside our own facility in Albuquerque, by our own team of cosmetic chemists — nothing is outsourced to a third-party manufacturer, and nothing is made at a scale where a "batch" means anything other than a specific, trackable run of product.

What small-batch actually means here. Rather than manufacturing large volumes infrequently, we produce in smaller quantities more often. That keeps ingredients fresher going into each formula, lets us adjust and improve a recipe between batches instead of being locked into a large production run, and means a batch of, say, the Sacred Rose Face Moisturizer made this month can reflect a small refinement that last month's batch didn't have.

Who's actually doing the work. Our formulation team includes trained chemists overseeing process development and stability testing, alongside the biomedical research background our founder brings to ingredient evaluation. That combination — hands-on chemistry plus a research lens — is part of why we can hold to a "no synthetics" standard without formulas falling apart on the shelf; getting that balance right is a real technical challenge, not a given.

Why local manufacturing matters to the mission. Keeping production in-house and local means shorter supply chains, more oversight over every step from raw botanical to finished bottle, and the ability to actually stand behind exactly how something was made — because we're the ones who made it, not a factory we've never seen.

What this looks like day to day. Batches are mixed, tested, and bottled on-site, then shipped directly from Albuquerque. It's slower than large-scale contract manufacturing, and it caps how much we can produce at once — but it's the tradeoff that lets us say, honestly, that we know exactly what's in every bottle that leaves this building.
